Deployment Details for 2023

Updated: 4-12-2023

Overview:

The normal beginning of year technology paperwork will be handled through your annual PowerSchool student verification process. The two main components related to student devices are the Responsible Use Agreement, which is a part of the annual verification process in PowerSchool, and the iReach User Charge, which is $40/year.

Without completing the RUP, a student isn't allowed to touch any school-owned internet-connected device. Without the user charge payment, a student is considered a day user and their device is turned in and picked up each day at the school help desk.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What's the timeline?

PowerSchool registration information was released on April 12. For further details, check out the registration page found here: Registration/Verification - Maryville City Schools (maryville-schools.org). Students MUST complete registration/annual verification prior to being allowed to touch an internet connected device.

Students who wish to apply for one of a limited number of scholarships to cover half the cost of the user charge may do so until August 31. No scholarship applications will be considered after August 31. To apply for a scholarship, your student may pickup an application in their school help desk (or download a copy here).  Scholarship notifications will be made after fall break. If a scholarship is applied for but not provided, the remaining $20 of the user charge will be due by Dec. 16.

What if I don't want to pay with a card?

Online registration is e-check or Credit Card only, but cash or check payments can be made at Montgomery Ridge, Coulter Grove, MJHS, MHS, or the Maryville City Schools Office.

Can I do partial payment or a payment plan?

At this time, we're still working with our new payment vendor to make that process seamless. Until that's fixed, partial payments of $10 or $20 can be made in cash or check at your child's school in the front office or help desk. Cash or check payment form can be found here

What if I don't have internet at home?

Details on our Every-1 Connected WiFi initiative can be found at Wi-Fi Initiative - Maryville City Schools (maryville-schools.org)
